You’re getting downvoted but you make a great point. That /is/ what it would take for Putin and his cronies to come to a reasonable negotiation.
The idea is a show of force to stop anyone from actually using them on anyone else and to get the other side to back down. No one, not even N Korea or Russia, really wants to use them. They aren’t that dumb yet fortunately.
Also, there are different tonnages of nukes. While every nuke creates an environmental disaster. Some are small enough to be localized with minimal fallout. Still not great, but not world ending either.
US intelligence doing what the they do best, infiltrating a country’s political network and then helping to overthrow their government so that US based companies can extract resource (in this case lithium apparently).
Interesting insight. Thanks.
When it’s one of their only allies in the area …
Allsides is a good US based news aggregator that specializes in rating how liberal, central, or conservative biased an article is.
Those are some massive chops. I keep thinking these are articles about a period TV show. lol.
I like this because it forces those in charge to evaluate how much they need to bother you. It’s speaking their language (money/profit). Ideally they won’t bother you unless it’s actually important and can’t wait, which means less calls. And when they do you feel compensated for them disturbing your time, which does have value.
And this attitude certainly gets you farther.
Had a peer, who has his masters degree, just get let go because he dug his heels in and refused to take on anything more that would help everyone share the load better without immediate higher compensation. (No, they don’t need to hire anyone else quite yet and he wasn’t really doing that much to begin with). The boss decided he didn’t like that attitude and put someone else in place with 1) more industry experience and 2) was willing to actually perform his full job function.
I’m 6 months in the industry (but have ops experience), have a bachelors in an unrelated field and am willing to learn and do more as needed to help support the team. I was specifically told that I wasn’t going anywhere because the state president likes my attitude and how I support my teams and those of my peers. Just got a nice sized bonus out of it too.
Morale: Don’t be the douchebag that doesn’t work well with others under the guise of it being abuse (it’s not).
Oh I like his style.
You can’t convince the MBAs to allow remote work without talking about productivity. It’s definitely relevant.
I hate to say it but I’ve never had a pair where the new foam midsole was the reason I replaced the shoes. It was always near the toe or fabric separating. That happened before with harder soles too. If anything they don’t wear out as quickly. I’ve no idea why but they don’t.
It’s too bad that the IDF doesn’t care about international opinion.
That’s 20 hours of driving at 65mph.
