It looks like the USA is about to embark on another 4 years of reality denial and protectionism, after which it will be even further behind. Republicans have made it clear that they will make it as difficult as possible to run sustainable energy businesses while pushing hard for more fossil fuels. This will do not only environmental damage but also economic and political damage to the country.

Ah yes, a good old extermination of the wrong 'uns “by any means necessary” will certainly improve humanity like it always has done in the past.

This gives the USA too much credit. It doesn’t invade other countries to save them from tyranny. It invades them because it wants to control them for strategic or economic purposes.

If it keeps going like this it’s only a matter of time before the animal kingdom punishes us right back.

I understood their point to be that Netanyahu and his allies encourage the conflation of Jewishness with support for Israel, through their deliberate conflation of opposition to Israel with antisemitism. In so doing, they put Jews everywhere in more danger, but they accept this because it serves their political ends. Of course, this is far from the only source of antisemitism, but Netanyahu is cynically adding flames to the fire.
