  • I rarely see the word Unilever and it registers, both companies are behemoths and evil.

The report revealed that Mayawana is using complex corporate structures involving offshore secrecy jurisdictions to continue clearing tropical forests. Mayawana is owned by a chain of holding companies that leads to the offshore tax havens of the British Virgin Islands and Samoa. Neither country requires companies to disclose the names of shareholders to the public.

RGE is a global producer of pulp, paper, packaging, tissue, viscose, and palm oil. Moreover, it is the parent conglomerate of APRIL, Asia Symbol, Sateri, Apical and Asian Agri. In 2015, RGE – and several of its subsidiaries including APRIL – initiated a policy of “zero deforestation” in its supply chain.

Naturally, some of the world’s largest fashion brands, consumer goods manufacturers, and mass retailers, purchase products from RGE. These include major brands like Colgate-Palmolive, Kao, Mondelēz, Nestlé, Nissin Foods, PepsiCo, Procter & Gamble, and Unilever. Banks like Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group (MUFG) also finance RGE’s operations.

  • Just look at my history, you can easily see what I’m all about. I look for non-conjecture, fact-based headlines and content. Their headlines are biased. I used them as a serious source at first, but then it became where I don’t even look at them, same with Huffpost. Huffpost looks like the National Enquirer for the last few months I’ve been gathering content. I usually won’t go past the headline if I feel it doesn’t match the content or it’s shitty in some way. AP is barely in the running as well. I did post the “Florida Man with 91 indictments goes to trial” or something like that because I thought it was funny, but I’m usually pretty good.

  • I don’t care if they make a profit from the work? They are using these products in their products, they have an ethical responsibility to choose companies that treat their employees well or find another company to purchase from. Companies that make that much money from companies that use slave labor should be not normal or accepted. The end.

Apple does not own the Chinese, Malaysian, and other production facilities that manufacture and assemble its products. In contrast to the in-house, foreign direct-investment relationship that used to typify transnational corporations, no annual flow of repatriated profits is generated by Apple’s “arm’s length” suppliers. Standard interpretation of economic statistics, all of which record the results of transactions in the market place, assumes that the slice of the iPhone’s final selling price captured by each U.S. or Chinese firm is identical to the value added each supposedly contributed. They reveal no sign of any cross-border profit flows or value transfers affecting the distribution of profits to Apple and its various suppliers. The only part of Apple’s profits that appear to originate in China are those resulting from the sale of its products in that country.

  • This is the closest I’ve seen:

Among the potential witnesses who were listed: former president Bill Clinton; Clinton advisor Doug Band; lawyer Alan Dershowitz; Britain’s Prince Andrew; insurance mogul Robert Meister; former New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson; hedge fund investor Glen Dubin and his wife, Eva; and millionaire businessman Ron Burkle, as well as about a dozen others, primarily former Epstein housekeepers, pilots, assistants and other staff. More than 20 of the 87 potential witnesses were listed as having knowledge of Maxwell and Epstein’s “sexual trafficking conduct,” with the names of four of those potential witnesses still redacted.

Documents released earlier this week included names of others in Epstein’s social circle, including Donald Trump, David Copperfield and Michael Jackson. None of the three appeared on the witness list.
