I’m not a fighter pilot, but when I think “ejection”, can’t imagine anything but a high-stress situation where the pilot doesn’t have time to figure out which is the ejection lever. Imagine a real emergency where the pilot grabs the wrong lever, gently slides back with the seat, and then fucking dies on impact.

But what about the oil companies who make massive profits selling the worst, bottom of the barrel, shit-tier bunker oil to cargo ship operators because regulations don’t exist on international waters? Won’t someone think of the oil companies?

That would be a nightmare. Whenever there is societal progress, conservatives always push back aggressively.

In the US, you always have to consider the benefits and risks to an elected official. Republicans would get nothing out of putting their new golden boy under a magnifier, but I’m certain that if a democrat tried it, they’d get slandered to hell and back.

The EU probably has no such concern. I don’t know how the EC’s members are picked, but partisanship is probably not as huge a factor. Eventually some EC members were bound to grow a backbone.

I don’t mean to be all “BuT iT’s cLOseD SoURce” but you should give Logseq or Zettlr a try. They’re similar WYSIWYG markdown editors, but also FOSS. Zettlr also has vim keys.

Plus Obsidian is horrible at editing tables.
