Why did it repeat twice?
Why did it repeat twice?
That’s why Congress doesn’t want to send more aid.
That’s because “stand up and fight for people like you” doesn’t mean working class or blue collar or any geographic or socioeconomic class. It means bigots. Trump is willing to be a bigot out loud. He’s willing to fight for legislation that oppresses people that bigots don’t like.
Yes, Blinken is the real victim here.
Conservative leaders are quietly stoking the opposition to Israel because it hurts Biden. Every article on Fox News related to Israel is either unabashedly pro-Israel or all about how Biden is bungling the situation. It’s careful to avoid direct criticism, but always references how many people are saying they don’t approve of Israel and Biden. So even though Biden is doing what they would do, they get to criticize him for it.
Bigots can be smart. Don’t underestimate your opponent. Being ignorant and feigning ignorance for political power are two different versions of bigotry.
I don’t think that’s a quibble worth discussing. Bigots aren’t that granular. Their reasoning is not that specific.
I watched the version in the article.
FWIW that video is heavily edited, and the campaign released a statement that a group, including those women, were refused entry because they were disruptive at previous events.
Now, I think Kamala and Biden deserve the protests, and they should be doing something, anything, to end the genocide in Gaza.
But it’s a political rally. If you protest at one of these, they’re not going to let you into the next one. It has nothing to do with your religious headwear or islamophobia or sexism or terrorism. Claiming discrimination when there isn’t any is disingenuous and counterproductive. It lends credence to the people who dismiss legitimate complaints of discrimination.
The article mentions scams, but I don’t even understand how this would work.
“Honestly, it didn’t come up. We talked mostly about the Netflix series Night Agent. Have you seen it? So good.”
Seems like it’s being hugged to death at the moment.
That’s not a valid concern, and even if it was, blocking right to repair laws does nothing to prevent it.
I think you’re giving the average American voter too much credit. First off, you wouldn’t need 50%, just 50% of voters. More than half of the American voting population does not understand the conflict. Whether it’s disinformation overload or apathy, too many voters simply do no have an opinion on what supporting Israel means. This is a nuanced conflict with a long history and complicated international implications. In the time it would take just to bring everyone up to speed, Israel could empty their arsenal of bombs.
Also, what makes you think the left is anti-war? For that matter, what makes you think there’s a functioning left? We have two parties, and while they are not at all the same, neither of them is pro-Palestine. At best, you have political leaders who are anti-genocide, and very few are willing to call the Israeli response to Hamas a “genocide.”
Now the right may be antisemitic, but they’re also anti-Muslim. Really any target for hate will suffice, but currently it’s the Islamic enemies they hate the most. Support for Israel is a proxy war against Islam, which is why you see strong support on the right. Israel can bomb all the civilians they want, and the military industrial complex gets to sell more weapons and vehicles. The Christian right would much rather see Jews and Muslims killing each other than have to get involved and do it themselves. Christian fundamentalists see support for Israel as good for America, because they can act like they are disappointed while watching two enemy religions try to wipe each other out.
I think if you put it to a popular vote, you’d see the public support Israel two to one. I don’t have polling on that, I’m just guessing and could be way off.
I don’t think you’re wrong about the first part, but I disagree that Americans wouldn’t vote to support Israel. Many Americans support Israel for religious reasons, and many more see the nation as the only ally we have in the Middle East. It’s a dramatic oversimplification of the reality, but nobody ever lost an election underestimating the American voters.
I’m mostly speaking from personal experience, so take it with a grain of salt. But there’s a lot of developers writing articles based on their experiences.
SIP panels aren’t going to increase the main stack capacity. Commercial buildings just don’t have the capacity for all of the sinks and toilets being used at once. It’s a neat idea, and a low voltage lighting system could save a ton of energy, but you still need to gut the building and add critical MEP infrastructure.
I’m with you, but you’re kidding yourself if you think the billionaire is going to suffer. They have leveraged the value with banks, and would skip on down the road with their fortunes while the banks that make mortgage loans have to shore up their books at the expense of common folks. Homebuyers, small businesses, and taxapyers will be expected to cover the losses.
There’s the NPVIC which would cut the electoral college out of the process entirely.
